The (IAS) Integrated Aviation Solutions Defense Group of Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics Compliance Officer. Leidos is the primary stakeholder of logistics functions on several Aerial Intelligence platforms located in various CONUS and OCONUS operational areas. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Armed forces and Special Operations Command supported by Leidos.

The Logistics Compliance Officer will manage all HAZMAT, COMSEC, CCI, Classified, and Trade Compliance requirements for all the IAS programs. The Compliance Officer will be required to resolve unclear problems and issues drawing from prior experience, research, analysis and minimal guidance from the Group Trade Compliance team and Local Logistics Manager.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Validating export information and managing export information on the parts catalog in the Logistics database for accurate export information.

  • Submitting tech data reports, tracking PPE licenses and inventories and other compliance related tasks associated with exports/imports.

  • Determining all Trade Compliance requirements for emerging program needs and new programs to include export license requirements, General correspondence requirements to utilize exemptions, Technical Assistance Agreements, and other trade compliance requirements for international program support.

  • Responsible for HAZMAT certifications and compliance with HAZMAT regulations for stateside and international transportation.

  • Traveling to certify HAZDEC's and support MILAIR or commercial shipments including HAZMAT.

  • Ensuring the Logistics team complies with all requirements for handling or transportation of CCI, COMSEC, and Classified Material.

  • Responsible for Logistics compliance with ESD requirements, Counterfeit Parts Inspections upon receipt, and ensuring conformance checks/quality inspections as needed.

  • Support logistics database cleanup to synchronize parts catalog data.

  • Other logistics duties as assigned in response to contractual, mission, or manager requirements.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 - 4 years of experience in logistics management functions (government property management, sourcing, procurement, warehousing, trade compliance, hazmat, COMSEC, supply)

  • 2 years of experience utilizing a Logistics database to manage workflows and reports.

  • Professional experience utilizing DoD forms and Federal Acquisition Regulations.

  • Professional writing experience.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of experience in Logistics Management Function.

  • 2+ years of experience working in trade compliance, property management, or procurement for Department of Defense contractor.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00
