POSITION SUMMARY
The EWH Data Clerk logs the necessary import and export shipments for the EWH facility. Position will be responsible for inventory accuracy and location as well as movement of material from various locations and the resources at multiple locations as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The section is not intended to be an all-inclusive list and NGK Ceramics reserves the right to include other duties as assigned):
Manages finished good storage inventories, scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries to and from the East Warehouse. (Other locations as needed.)
Ensure work load levying to optimize staffing and equipment functions.
Performs order entry, creates shipping documents and invoices for export shipments; and provides proper documentation to the appropriate parties when shipments are completed
Use and become proficient with complex software (i.e. SAP/CMS, etc.)
Schedules shipments for exports (air/ocean/intermodal); and provides scheduling information to the sales office. (NAU)
Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key personnel in various departments at ACU, with outside vendors and suppliers, thereby facilitating more efficient internal operations and providing optimal customer service and timely order fulfillment
Communicates and records scheduled apponments with forwarders and shipping lines to coordinate on-time customer deliveries; and processes export shipments from start to finish
Compiles monthly data for weigh batch shipments and various cost reduction projects
Understands the CDL Driver allocation.
Creats and adjusts inventory data as needed.
Arranges all shipments (receiving and shipping) of materials to designated customer, including international locations.
Performs and aids with semi-annual inventory duties
Works safely by avoiding forklifts; staying clear of forklift doors; and using personnel doors when entering or exiting the buildings
Participates in G5S (Global 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) activities, as needed
Follows all EMS (Environmental Management System) procedures, including the disposal of waste and used materials

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and/or Experience
Must be able to successfully complete all required job training.
(Preferred but not required) Associate's Degree (A.S.) in a related field of study; and/or 3-5 years applicable experience
Required Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental rules and regulations, corporate guidelines, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write and comprehend detailed reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
Required Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and ratios.
Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit or verify information or data.
Required Reasoning Ability

Other Skills and Qualifications
Proficient with MS Office applications (primarily Excel and Word).
Ability to create charts and graphs used to relay data.
Preferred Qualifications
In a related field of study; and/or 3-5 years applicable experience.
Previous logistics, procurement and/or shipping experience.
Proficient with MRP/ERP systems (preferably SAP Management, CMS)
