Sayres is seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst - Supply & Tech Data Subject Matter Expert (S&TD SME) with a current SECRET clearance, verifiable in JPAS, in support of Surface Ship/Combatant New Construction in Washington, DC
Qualifications & Clearance Requirements
The S&TD SME will be responsible for the following:
Perform duties as an integral element of the overall Intergraded Logistics Support (ILS) Team for a Major Surface Combatant Program
Initiate daily face-to-face coordination with the DC-based Program Office Logistics Team and constant and consistent dialogue and exchange with various Logistics stakeholders.
Assist Program Office with various programmatic duties to include, but not limited to, planning and conducting periodic Integrated Logistics meetings, development of various presentations / briefs, meeting minutes, action items tracking, providing monthly / weekly reporting
Act as liaison in support of ongoing/future ships on ILO process. Assist in the day to day management and lead coordination efforts.
Gather, interpret and provide analysis of data related to the status of ILS products
Maintaining and developing, as necessary, the Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), technical manuals, and other technical data for a new class Navy ship as well as working closely with Surface Force stakeholders.
Monitoring and reporting on the development of a Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL)
Develops and updates Program Management Plans (i.e., LCSP) and other required DOD 5000 series documentation in the Logistics and Sustainment arena
Support the preparation, execution, and review of DDG 1000 Class Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs)
In addition to S&TD elements, work with Sayres' ILS leads and with Program ILS team in support of Manpower, Personnel and Training (MPT) and Operations, Maintenance and Reliability (OM&R) efforts as Lead Ship is delivered to Navy and completes construction and testing required to become Fleet -deployable asset and as 1001 and 1002 complete construction.
Travel will occasionally be required to support meetings and events.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the management of all aspects of supply
Experience in the implementation of shore-based support including the latest Navy Surface Force ILS and IT systems.
Expertise in Surface Combatant performance-based logistics requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of Surface Combatant parts obsolescence, technical refresh strategies, and execution of appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ability to work closely with Surface Navy customer and lead S&TD team through extremely challenging period of a Lead Ship Delivery, Commissioning, and actions required to support initial Deployment.
Experience in industrial environment and aboard ships.
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
