Duties and Responsibilities
Provides analytical, logistics and configuration management support for mine warfare (MCM 1 Class), and coastal patrol (PC 1 Class) ships.
Coordinates Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings. Supporting tasks include interfacing with participating activities for collection of data and presentations. Develop brief for client. Draft formal correspondence for meeting announcement and minutes. Track and assist with resolution of assigned actions.
Supports the CNO availability planning process for MCM 1 and PC Class ships by reviewing the baseline reports, participating in monthly availability planning baseline meetings. Provides a summary of the meeting discussion to the client.
Demonstrates superior Microsoft Office program skills to develop metrics as required to portray or identify ILS product deficiencies and development, CASREP, or other related subject data trends.
Access and extract information from various Navy data bases including Navy Data Environment (NDE), Navy Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) One Touch Support (OTS), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) FedMall, PEO Ships Windchill Integrated Data Environment (IDE).
Supports the Technical Assessment Team (TAT) Ship Change Document (SCD) approval process by performing logistics reviews for, PC and MCM Class SCDs.
Reviews End of Availability (EOA)/ILS Verification letters issued by Regional Maintenance Centers/Ship Repair Facilities. Provides client a summary of findings including deficient ILS products and actions taken to resolve.
Participates in PMS 407 CASREP meetings and analyzes data to identify and assist with resolution of CASREP related parts issues that are reported.
In support of client, coordinates bi-weekly logistics team working group meeting. Interfaces with waterfront and supply activities to identify high priority issues. Develops agenda and meeting brief to highlight and detail the issues reported, and maintain a POAM to track their progress through resolution.
Travel is less than 5 percent.
Position is in Washington, D.C.
Qualified candidate will:
Interact and advise customers, through the application of specific program knowledge, in the execution of configuration management/logistics program management tasks;
Provide account management representation in Integrated Product Teams, conferences, and meetings;
Develop, review, edit and coordinate program documentation such as plans, schedules, briefings, reports, correspondence, technical instructions, technical procedures or related material;
Conduct supervised research into specific programs to validate spares requirements, and prepare and report findings to the customer;
Create and maintain master files/schedules related to program history, execution and status for the life of the program; and
Provide other program management support as required.
The candidate should possess the ability to track, process, produce and distribute deliverables and monitor comment status; collect and analyze performance data; assess and quantify cost/ schedule/ performance and risk; and prepare and coordinate inputs for acquisition documentation, status reports, briefings and information inquiries.
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years applicable work experience.
An active SECRET security clearance and U.S. Citizenship is required.
