Position Summary:

The Logistics Administrator ensures that products are shipped accurately and timely as per customer orders. This role controls pertinent shipping activities through portals and 3PL websites. They will also coordinate related activities with Planning, Production, QC, and Customer Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the entire shipping process. This includes VL10 Functions, maintaining all pertinent paperwork and handling of traffic coordination.

  • Runs VL10 report and research / expedites accordingly. Includes significant interaction with other departments when needed.

  • When needed will attend supply chain meetings pertinent to on-time shipping and order issues if GL and Supervisor are unavailable.

  • Schedule's shipments using assigned 3PL portals, also will input ASN's, RTS and other related tasks

  • Reviews routing to ensure that all shipments are picked up on time and by the carrier assigned.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. An Associates degree in Business Administration, Logistics or other related field is preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Logistics Administrator required. Experience within the fragrance and flavor industry is strongly preferred.

  • Must have experience using an ERP system (running reports, entering information, etc.). Experience with SAP is strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • Self motivated individual with strong problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.

  • Strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines.
