SA Recycling is looking for an energetic and highly organized individual to join our team as a Logistics Administrator. In this role you will be providing general administrative and clerical support for our fleet operations. This role requires the ability to work independently, be flexible, and demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects at a time. The Logistics Administrator will also back up the Dispatcher as needed.
This position may require you to work intermittently outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
The working hours for this position are from 6:30 am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday hours.

Responsibilities of the Logistics and DOT Coordinator:
Partner with local and Corporate Transportation team members on obtaining and maintaining files in compliance with all DOT, state, and SA Recycling guidelines.
Responsible for daily processing of routine vehicle paperwork and status reports.
Monitoring GPS systems and working with field technicians and/or vendors to maintain compliance.
Partner with, and back up the Dispatch Coordinator for delivery and pick up of material and containers for suppliers and customers.
Assist the Transportation Team with billing issues as needed. Will involve communication with outside haulers or contract carriers.
Act as first point of contact with contract carriers for invoice, run and load questions or discrepancies.
Review, process and match outside haulers and contract carrier tickets and invoices for proper payment.
Partner with Supervisor Fleet Services on PM and out of service schedules to minimize impact to suppliers and customers.
Field phone calls / email follow-up regarding crash events, spills, violations, citations, driver qualification and ELD issues.
Qualifications of the Logistics and DOT Coordinator:
High School diploma or GED.
Background in office administration, logistics or fleet management.
DOT Regulations experience is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
Mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn industry specific software.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
