Logistics Account Coordinator - Material Control

Job Summary:

The Logistics Account Coordinator coordinates and tracks all customer-related projects from completed production to the shipment of the finished product. This position is in direct and constant communication with each customer concerning finished good release, shipping, inventory, and accounting. Works to ensure all orders are shipped On Time and In Full (OTIF).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates, communicates, and interacts with internal and external customers to ensure expectations and challenges are addressed in a positive and timely manner.

  • Daily entry of all outbound sales orders (STOs) for finished good shipments.

  • Manages YMS & Manhattan truck ordering systems for outbound shipments.

  • Maintains an accurate book of orders for outbound sales orders (STOs) to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Provides detailed updates and reports on open orders, both internally and externally.

  • Communicates, investigates, and reconciles shortages/overages on outbound sales orders (STOs).

  • Participates in the decision-making process of purging depleted orders and orders to be closed short. Provides detail to customer for shorted or late orders.

  • Processes, monitors, and modifies shipments in SAP based on customer demand. Tracks and communicates unavailable inventory and reports to appropriate internal and external contacts.

  • Tracks special customer requests including sample requests, specialized shipping requests, etc.

  • Supports Department Manager in coordinating and completing special requests, projects or assignments.

  • Daily management of incoming Fed Ex deliveries and notification to recipients of arrival.

  • Daily management of inbound and outbound dock appointments.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent highly preferred. In lieu of Diploma or GED, years of experience, knowledge, skills, and fit will be considered.

  • Prior experience Customer Service or Shipping experience preferred.

  • SAP experience, preferred.

  • HazMat certification a plus.

  • Experience operating a Forklift a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Project management proficiency.

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).

  • Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP's) and OSHA safety requirements.

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.

  • Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Able to work overtime & weekends as required.

  • Wear hairnet, safety glasses, long pants, steel toe shoes/boots and any other uniform standards.

  • Read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place.

  • Lift items up to 50lbs

Working Conditions:

  • Not climate controlled, except in offices.

  • Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout the facility, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

  • Wear hairnet, safety glasses, long pants, steel toe shoes/boots and any other uniform standards.

  • Sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place.

  • Lift items up to 50lbs.
