NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Logistician Support Technician to join our team in Little Creek, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
NTT DATA Services Federal Government Inc. is seeking a professional and motivated qualified Logistics Advisor. An expert in US Navy supply logistics with an in-depth working knowledge of the special requirements associated with Special Warfare Command. The Logistics Advisor will support a team designated to oversee the management of program related services in support of the Dry Combat Submersible and Dry Deck Shelter programs located in Little Creek, Virginia. The Logistics Advisor will be responsible for compiling logistical support information and providing reports. To be part of the NDFG team is a great opportunity. Identify issues, resolve issues, and evaluate and improve the supply processes for the DCS and DSS programs.
Work closely with senior staff/experts within and outside the internal organization to develop processes and policies in support of the DCS and DDS programs, ensuring the overall quality of tasks/services provided by the supply system.
Develop methodologies to deliver the following:
Provide reports containing repair parts data including source of supply, cost, quantity, reliability, affordability, and maintainability.
Part validations to identify deficiencies and sustainability of procurement systems for the DCS program.
Conduct analysis of technical and logistics data and create relevant reports, briefings, and documents to include: statements of work, white papers, trade studies, etc.
Effectively manage a balance of regularly scheduled work and tasks as well as providing support for urgent short notice tasks and events.
Provide technical guidance and brief management on projects' status.
8 to 10 years of experience with logistics management.
MS Office Suite PC skills are a requirement including proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
Analysis and interpretation of technical data (e.g., technical drawings, technical data, specifications, etc.).
Must currently have a Secret Clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Knowledge of Submersibles.
Experience with Supply Chain or Inventory Management.
Prior logistics experience in support of the U.S. military or DoD contractor.
Self-motivated and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
xperience with submarine operations and Navy logistics.
Requires climbing, bending, crawling, or stooping or other physical demands normally associated with shipboard and industrial repair.
Lifting heavy objects may be required.
Must be able to work in a warehouse/office workspace.
Must be able to work in small spaces.
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be able to embark, operate, and maintain test support watercraft and experimental vessels in the Open Ocean or restricted waters to support test.
