Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Junior Equipment Specialist Project Analyst for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, known as the Sentinel ICBM Program.

The Sentinel Program (formerly GBSD) is an enormous and complex "Mega-Project" modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. Without a doubt, Sentinel is one of the Department of Defense's (DoD's) most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment or replacement of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system (including an updated airborne launch capability) as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. Sentinel is one of the DoD's newest official "programs of record," having recently achieved Acquisitions Milestone B and enjoys broad, strong support at the national level. It is a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to deploy over a nine-year period beginning in 2026 and remaining operational until at least 2075. Sentinel is a career defining program that will present unique and challenging opportunities that are simply not available with smaller projects.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team within a large defense company with an extraordinary, positive culture and mission focus. In this position, you will provide direct support to a national security critical weapon system throughout engineering and manufacturing development, production and deployment, as well as operations and sustainment. You will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, digital engineering-driven Air Force organization that will design, build, test, transition, and sustain the world's safest, most secure, and effective land-based nuclear deterrent, on-schedule. Do not miss this!

Join an extraordinary company culture and the winning team to success on the ICBM Integration Support Contract this year and for years to come!

The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Providing technical advice and support to Sentinel Product Support Manager and Product Support Division leadership in reviewing, validating and supporting DoD acquisition and logistics efforts;

  • Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and developing specialized information about equipment;

  • Providing expert technical advice and support to Sentinel Product Support Manager and Product Support Division leadership in reviewing and validating electronic Technical Orders and Technical Manuals;

  • Determining or recommending the requirements for the appropriate spare parts, tools, and operating instructions;

  • Reviewing layouts, engineering and production drawings, specifications and test reports;

  • Comparing equipment offered by contractors to specifications contained in bid invitations;

  • Contributing to enterprise Equipment Specialists training program; and

  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of Technical Data Modules; recommending corrective actions and providing support to programmatic and technical briefings, reports and other related documentation.

Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.

This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to special-access, classified working environment and is not conducive to regular "telework" schedules
