SUMMARY

Provides leadership, coaching to subordinate group. In some staff positions a function may be managed (with no staff). In addition to similar responsibilities of Group Leader and Supervisor, this level has greater impact on budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling and procedure changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor daily safety, quality, productivity, and Employee Relations of the facility utilizing FMDS.

  • Ensure customers' needs are/have been met (follow up).

  • Maintain a good working relationship with subordinates and act as a positive role model for them and their employees. Promote a team-like atmosphere.

  • Develop/oversee improvement initiatives for the operations using principles of Kaizen.

  • Establish and modify procedures and workflows using the Toyota Production System Methods.

  • Control of Warehouse budget and staff working hours. Assist with budget and monthly report preparation.

  • Assist in developing and implementing training programs. Development of staff. Develop backup staff to support your day-to-day activities when absent.

  • Complete all assignments by the deadline except under unusual circumstances, in which CoC must be notified in a timely manner (Stop Call Wait).

  • Ensure KPI's are met for the facility.

  • Promote and lead 5s within the organization.

  • HEV Warehouse management will be Forklift certified and operate the warehouse for the first 6-8 months and when volume increases.

  • Management standing, sorting, and repacking material on a daily basis through the year-long start-up for full production levels.

  • Other duties and projects as may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Evaluating efficiency and productivity.

  • Responsible for training employees.

  • Determining and/or planning work.

  • Handling employee's complaints, determining, and/or planning work.

  • Responsible for initiating hiring, disciplining, termination, and appraisal of the work of employees.

  • Responsible for planning and managing the section's budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

  • At least 6 - 9 years of experience in a similar field, including management responsibilities.

  • Understanding of accounting principles and ability to apply those principles.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Must be detail-oriented.

  • Experience in supply chain management and familiarity with coordinating activities with warehouses and logistics service providers.

  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Clear thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Detail-oriented and conscientious to produce consistently high-quality work.
