What Will I Be Doing?
As a Lodging intern, you will spend much of your time at your assigned hotel. Your internship will rotating and training in the different jobs within the Lodging Operations (Front Desk Agent, Concierge services, Bellperson and Housekeeping). With this internship, you will have the opportunity to attend staff management meetings, assist in leading daily standups, attend development workshops, participate in the Bookworms book club, Community Involvement activities, and be exposed to management-level responsibilities. Much of your exposure will greatly depend on your initiative, work attitude and overall service delivery.HOUSING IS AVAILABLE
What Experience is Needed to Be Successful?
We prefer Junior or Senior level students pursuing a degree program in Hospitality, Resort Management, Restaurant Management, or related degree programs to our service offerings. Due to our operations happening 24/7, you must be flexible with your hours, willing work morning and evening shifts.
It is mandatory that you are available to work weekends and holidays. It is ideal for you to have experience in customer service, and truly be passionate providing service from the heart, a commitment to servicing the team and quest in a leadership role that displays an optimistic attitude to doing whatever it takes to make our guest, members and staff happy.
What are the Physical Requirements of the Job?
In Lodging, you must be able to stand and/walk for an entire shift (between 8-12 hours), must be able to bend and stoop to pick up items from the floor or in cabinets, and move a housekeeping cart weighing up to 50 lbs.
