Locum Physician (Md/Do) - Family Practice In New York City, NY

An FQHC is seeking a family medicine physician for locum tenens coverage. Visit Times Square, explore Central Park, walk across the High Line, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and catch a Broadway show.

Credentialing for this position takes 1-2 weeks, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, though part-time candidates will be considered with a preference for 40 hours per week. The role involves working with a high no-show rate due to the transient nature of the clients, necessitating comfort in settings such as shelters or mobile medical vans. The patient demographic consists entirely of homeless adults over 18, both men and women, who often suffer from mental health issues and substance use disorders.
