Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Officers. Our Security Officers allow us to contribute to our company's core purpose of providing unparalleled service, systems and solutions to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses of our communities.


  • Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner

  • Able to obtain a valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.

  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

  • Able to:

  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

The Sr. Security Representative develops, administers and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data as the Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO). In this role, you will: * Support all contractual security requirements for DOD collateral classified programs. * Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in DOD industrial security requirements (NISPOM), Department of Homeland Security (Chemical Facility Anti-terrorism Standards), and Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (Explosives Industry Programs). * Work closely with U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals, security rulings or deviations. * Provide support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program. * Prepare implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establish procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified/sensitive materials. * Develop and conduct security education classes. * Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken. * Apply business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicate observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners. * Process clearances and customer visits and provide support for classified meetings. A Final Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Candidate will typically have 6+ years of experience.
