Local Transfer Driver

Description: The Transfer Truck Driver operates a tractor-trailer for a regional route and works independently to load and unload the trailer at each branch.

The Transfer Truck Driver also takes initiative to provide general maintenance and up-keep of their delivery vehicle, performs daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment, and adheres to all DOT compliance requirements to ensure a positive relationship between the DOT and our company. Class A CDL required. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Ensure the delivery of products and services Load and unload the trailer in a safe and efficient manner Understand logistical routes throughout the company Work independently but able to communicate effectively with department leads and branches on all job related matters Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives Maintain a high standard of driving performance Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation requirements Maintain truck and warehouse dock cleanliness and order Follow processes and procedures in place for effective job performance Participate in company process improvements and initiatives The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23 to $29 per hour.
