Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Compensation : $53.53 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : ASC-11073|AH-HHC-86039 Start Date : 08/25/2023 End Date : 11/25/2023 Department : Surgical Services Shift Timings: 06:45 - 17:15 Roles & Responsibilities Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.

Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of RN Operating Room experience.

Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license Circulating and scrub experience Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
