Job Title: Local Contract - Nuclear Med Tech N umber of positions: 1 Years of experience:

One to three years Shift: Day shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 04/09/2024 Hourly pay: $55.69 OT : 1.5 Weekly Pay : $2,088.38 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Busy nuclear medicine department that performs general nuclear medicine scans and cardiac scans. Experience with Siemens cameras and EPIC preferred.

Discipline (RN, MD, CST): nuclear medicine technologist Department: Nuclear Medicine Shift timings: 07:00 AM - 3:00 PM Roles & Responsibilities Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images. Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.

Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Ensure equipment is properly functioning.

Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.

Minimum Qualifications Required a minimum of three years of experience. Certifications/License Required: ARRT Nuclear Med or CNMT, and a NYS nuclear med license.

QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current Nuclear Med Tech experience. Graduate from a fully accredited Nuclear Med Tech program Active unencumbered New York Nuclear Med Tech state license One year of Cerner experience ARRT Certification Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
