Position Summary

  • Hourly Pay

  • $26/hour Must have both Tanker & Hazmat endorsements

  • $24/hour - without both Tanker & Hazmat Endorsements

  • Full Time

  • 5 Day Work Week (Monday through Friday) Average of 50-60 hours per week

  • Morning Position 3am to 6am start time

  • Possible Weekends available at most terminals

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 23 years old

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License, A, issued by the resident state.

  • One year of verifiable driving experience with a diploma from an accredited driving school OR two years of verifiable driving experience

  • Must live within 30 miles of the terminal

  • Must pass a road test

  • Must pass a DOT physical

  • Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen. Must receive a negative result.

  • Must consent to a 10-year check on work history. Any gap of 30 days or more must be indicated and explained. Discrepancies may prevent your application from being processed and job offer withdrawn.

  • No record of a suspension or revocation for more than 30 days, covering the 36-month period prior to the order date of a motor vehicle record (MVR). A suspension for failure to pay and/or failure to appear will be considered provided that there was no conviction for driving while suspended during this period.

  • No record of citation or conviction for any serious traffic violation during the 60-month period prior to the order date of a MVR.

  • No past patter or record of citation or convictions for more than three motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the MVR.

  • No past pattern or record of involvement in more than one at-fault traffic accident and no more than two motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the MVR.

  • Must receive a negative controlled substance and alcohol result from prior employer(s) for the past 3-year period. No prior evidence of controlled substance use.

  • No instance of refusal to submit to an Alcohol or Controlled Substance test within the past 3-year period including a pre-employment test.

  • Must have the ability to read and write the English language and also perform simple mathematical calculations.

  • You will be an at-will employee throughout your employment.

Job Duties

  • Drive a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.

  • You may be required to help unload or load freight at a customer or terminal. This includes lifting or pulling freight with dock tools such as pallet jacks, two wheelers or forklifts (ECM certified employees only).

  • Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.

  • Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods.

  • Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.

  • Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials.

  • Driver tractor/trailer in all conditions in accordance with federal regulations, normally in period of driving within hours of service limitations, followed by and off-duty period as required by regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver's logs and other records required by law.

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.

VIEW JOBS 2/14/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-14T00:00 Class A CDL Driver - Tank Endorsement - End Dump Experience Position Summary: Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with the capacity of at least 26,001 lbs, to transport and deliver materials in liquid, solid, or loose form. May be required to load and/or unload truck. Requires a Current Class A Commercial Drivers' License. This position is a safety sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her own safety as well as the safety of others. Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Maintenance: * Perform all pre and post inspections on truck and trailer combinations or truck with the capacity of at least 26,001 lbs. * Report all defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to the vehicles * Perform the basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid or performing minor repairs. * Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires and installing light bulbs and tire chains. Daily Operations: * Operate the truck and trailer combination by performing and acknowledging all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and the Company * Lower/Raise trailer landing gear, using crank, to safely secure the vehicles. * Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is accurate and complete. * Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned * Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, in order to transport, deliver, collect products and other materials. * Use hoses, tools, and other equipment in order to collect and distribute materials. * Read and interpret maps in order to determine vehicle routes. * Couple and uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting and disconnecting air and electrical lines and manipulating fifth wheel locks. * Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, i.e. dispatcher, area manager, or pusher, and verify instructions and routes. * Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones, as regulations deem appropriate and can be performed safely, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, and other drivers. * Load and unload trucks or assist others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary * Inventory and inspect goods to be moved, in order to determine quantities and conditions. * Inspect loads after loading is complete, in order to ensure cargo is secure. Will involve climbing up/down ladder. * Perform other duties as determined by area supervisor. Compliance: * Maintain driver logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations as determined by CFR Part 49. * Obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered. Safety: * Perform and acknowledge all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and the Company when completing any and all tasks related to operations. * Check vehicles daily before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Complete DVIR report daily (also tasked under maintenance) * Complete monthly safety quizzes and trainings * Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety. This position, at any time, may require you to travel outside of state lines. Management retains the right to revise your load pickups and drop-offs. Position Qualifications Experience: * Current Class A CDL * 2-4 years related experience Tractor & Equipment Operator Essential Job Functions: This position is a safety sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her own safety as well as the safety of others. * Operate applicator by injecting approved material on permitted fields and maintained environmental compliance. * Obey and flag buffered zones on permitted fields before application. * Pull soil samples and have soil analysis completed before moving onto a new field. * Record and subtract loads applied in the field log after every application. * Use best management practices when applying, to ensure that application is done correctly, and the landowner's property is being treated with respect. * Monitor land usage. * Monitor tank levels and report to manager daily. * Maintain accurate and correct paperwork (not an all-inclusive listing): Field Logs; Tractor DVIR's' Environmental Logs, etc. * Inspect all paperwork that is sent off to corporate, ensuring the following: filled out completely, signed, dated, corrected (if necessary) and you agree with documents you are signing. * Inspect and maintain all equipment being used in the field. * Be aware of all equipment malfunctions and parts repair or replacement. * Insure safe equipment operation. * Accurately complete Tractor and Spreader DVIR on daily basis. * Follow Equipment PM Schedule for services and greasing of all fittings. * Ensure the Area Manager is aware of all equipment issues. * Maintain a safe work environment, wearing all proper PPE while in operation. * Report any and all spills to management immediately.
