This position is based at our Meherrin location in Williamsport, PA.

Position

Meherrin Ag is seeking a full time CDL delivery staff member with a strong work ethic, flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks. Main responsibility will be to deliver product accurately and timely to our customer base. Ideal candidate will be willing to learn new skills and participate in different tasks and projects. Position is typically home daily, M-F work.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Major Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles in a safe, responsible and legal manner.

• Deliver and unload all merchandise to customers' locations and designated receiving areas.

• Communicate with superiors to notify them of any shortages or issues of a delivery.

• Document correctly all orders, shipments and collections.

• Pick up returned merchandise, if any, from customers. Immediately unload and process with documentation returned merchandise upon returning to the warehouse.

• Interact with customer's personnel in a courteous, respectful and cooperative manner at all times. Represent the company in a positive and safe manner to customers and the public. Communicate regularly with management and the sales team.

• Responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of product in and out of the warehouse facility.

• Gather orders from numerous locations to be integrated and palletized per customer.

• Picking, verifying, shipping and receiving products.

• Load outgoing merchandise into trailer

• Maintain the dock and warehouse space in a clean and professional manner daily.

• Utilize and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jack, and other available equipment as needed. Manually lift, move and carry materials as required in the performance of warehouse duties. Maintain quality of company's product. Follow safety rules required by management. Comply with local, state and federal laws and company rules in the performance of job duties.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent, must have excellent communication skills and be able to follow direction. Must be willing to work extended hours depending on seasonal demands. Must be reliable, flexible and require minimal supervision. Applicant must be self-motivated and work with a hands-on attitude being able to multi-task individually as well as working as part of a team. Have experience operating a forklift or the ability to learn/train.

Certification

• CDL license required

• Forklift Operator certification preferred

Physical Demand

• Must be able to lift 40-70-pound bags

• Sitting down while driving from one destination to another
