Monthly Hiring Range $3,012 - $3,650
Summary of Work
As a Loan Specialist you will provide high-quality customer service to NDHFA's borrowers, assisting with mortgage loans and loan servicing. The successful candidate will become an expert in NDHFA's unique homebuyer programs and will interact with customers by phone, email and in person and coordinate with local lenders, title companies and real estate agents. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must to process loan payoffs, new loan set-up, prepare mortgage transactions, and ensure accurate loan payoff and payment postings.
Duties and Tasks
Mortgage Loan Accounting - confirm accuracy of loan payoffs; research mortgage loan amortization errors; computer input of payments, payoffs, principal and interest errors and adjust payments and interest rate; audit and balance new loan setup.
Mortgage Loan Servicing - provide assistance to borrowers by providing loan payoffs quotes; prepare satisfactions and process paid in full files; monitor and report payoff.
Provide NDHFA's high quality customer service to borrowers and lending partners.
Manage continuous improvements in the Homeownership Division and mortgage industry.
Completion of high school or GED; AND
Five years of work experience in administrative duties which include mortgage loan accounting or account technician experience.
Formal education in college-level coursework may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up two years of the work experience requirements.
Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and background check.
Mortgage loan accounting
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work in a high paced environment
