JOB SUMMARY

The Second Review Supervisor will take "ownership" for the daily operation, and management of the Second Review team, providing leadership and training. S/he will administer bank policies, procedures and regulations to maintain effective departmental operations minimizing risk to the Bank. This includes all phases of the loan onboarding and maintenance process for all approved loan transactions/products offered and delivered by the Chemical Bank lending channels.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3 - 5 Years Experience in Function

  • 3 - 5 Years Experience in Industry

  • Proven management and supervisory skills with the ability to deal effectively with a broad range of employees and customers

  • Extensive organizational and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Detail oriented

  • Able to multitask

  • Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and IBS.

  • Extensive complex commercial loan knowledge, including attorney-prepared loans, participations, and leases.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

  • Supervises, coordinates, coaches, mentors, and counsels staff activities to ensure achievement of assigned goals and objectives. Responsible for staff retention, performance, and developmental coaching.

  • Assures optimum use of resources to achieve departmental goals and management objectives set by the Director of the department.

Operations

  • Oversees prompt and accurate review of loan fields input and/or maintenanced to the IBS core banking system.

  • Prioritizes workload as needed, ensuring the team meets expected Service Level Agreements.

  • Continuously reviews and enhances team procedures.

  • Diligently reports data analysis and provides monthly dashboards to appropriate departments.

  • Makes certain all regulatory, procedural and compliance requirements are met.

  • Identifies operational and service deficiencies and recommends solutions to upper management.

VIEW JOBS 9/11/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-10T00:00 JOB SUMMARY The Loan Accounting Team is responsible for processing some of the most complex transactions within the Loan Servicing Center. Under limited supervision, the incumbent will perform a variety of duties related to Swaps, Participations, Loan Loss and General Ledger Account Reconciliations. S/he will communicate in an outgoing and friendly professional demeanor not only to customers but to staff as well. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Bachelor's degree required * 1 - 3 Years experience in function * 1 - 3 Years experience in industry * Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills. * Works independently and is effective in a team environment. Self-motivated to meet specific deadlines as applicable to the position. * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, along with attention to detail. * Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. * Working knowledge of accounting principles. Prior Business Loan experience and/or accounting / reconciliation experience is helpful. * Competency with basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensure proper booking of all loan participation requests, including loan payments, advances and rate changes * Process and maintain all Swap transactions. * Verify billing notices for accuracy on all Swap loans. * Perform Account Reconciliations for all GL accounts daily, monthly and quarterly, escalating aged items to management in a timely manner. * Collaborate with the operating unit and business partners to define root causes and proactively resolve processing issues. * Process all Loan Loss adjustments as requested by Collections and SAG. * Work directly with Lenders to maintain the accuracy of Participation and Swap loans. * Ensure all notifications and payments to Investor Banks are accurate and timely. * Process incoming and outgoing wires related to Swaps and Participations.
