The Second Review Supervisor will take "ownership" for the daily operation, and management of the Second Review team, providing leadership and training. S/he will administer bank policies, procedures and regulations to maintain effective departmental operations minimizing risk to the Bank. This includes all phases of the loan onboarding and maintenance process for all approved loan transactions/products offered and delivered by the Chemical Bank lending channels.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferred
3 - 5 Years Experience in Function
3 - 5 Years Experience in Industry
Proven management and supervisory skills with the ability to deal effectively with a broad range of employees and customers
Extensive organizational and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to multitask
Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and IBS.
Extensive complex commercial loan knowledge, including attorney-prepared loans, participations, and leases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises, coordinates, coaches, mentors, and counsels staff activities to ensure achievement of assigned goals and objectives. Responsible for staff retention, performance, and developmental coaching.
Assures optimum use of resources to achieve departmental goals and management objectives set by the Director of the department.
Oversees prompt and accurate review of loan fields input and/or maintenanced to the IBS core banking system.
Prioritizes workload as needed, ensuring the team meets expected Service Level Agreements.
Continuously reviews and enhances team procedures.
Diligently reports data analysis and provides monthly dashboards to appropriate departments.
Makes certain all regulatory, procedural and compliance requirements are met.
Identifies operational and service deficiencies and recommends solutions to upper management.
