Howard Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist I for our Corporate Headquarters in Canton! Our Loan Servicing Specialist I is responsible for the following:
Performing loan servicing duties to include payment processing, payment reversals, loan disbursement, loan research and data updates
Processing participated loan transactions and settling with other Banks on a monthly basis
Reconciling transactions and clears outstanding wires promptly
Assisting with daily loan servicing functions of resolving issues either by direct telephone contact with borrowers, branch and customer support center personnel
Daily ledger account bank reconciliations
Processing loan payoffs
Performing various file maintenance
Monitoring e-Oscar and responding to credit disputes
Our Loan Servicing Specialist I will meet the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline preferred
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an account or banking operation; experience dealing with payments, transactions, and balancing
PC and Microsoft Office proficient with the ability to master proprietary banking systems
Knowledge of CFPB and other federal and state regulatory agencies
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Must be detail oriented with a commitment to a high level of data integrity and accuracy
Ability to multitask and effectively manage time
Ability to problem solve and the ability to exercise good judgement
