Reviews all new and renewing loans, post boarding & funding, for approval, completeness & accuracy. Callbacks consumer and commercial loans and lines of credit comparing systems posting against credit approvals and documentation.
Reports discrepancies found to relevant units and monitors correction as required. Activities require knowledge of credit approvals, loan documentation and loan systems. Monitors collateral systems and reports under margin activity to Credit staff.
Performs maintenance on collateral positions as required. Works as liaison to the insurance department to ensure proper handling and delivery of updated and expiring policies to prevent forced placement by working closely with the Private Bankers and their teams. Acts as liaison to the sales teams to ensure proper execution and rollovers of LIBOR optioned facilities and loans.
Performs Callbacks for his/her assignment of the PB loan portfolio including reporting of exceptions, and monitoring of corrections. Be able to perform the secondary callback of the portfolio as a check/control.
Monitor portfolio assignment for maturing loans for renewal and insurance related communications and activity and be available to assist Jr. Specialists in their assignments. Monitor STOC mailbox for relevant activity and create and distribute STOC collateral reports when required. Major participant in projects and principle lead on portfolio review preparation process when assigned.
Quality Control & Reporting: Post boarding callback of new and renewing lines of credits and loans.
Review applicable systems (Metavante, AFS, Insight, and STOC) to ensure data integrity by comparing the boarded loan against the CRR and loan documentation to insure accuracy of Loan Department/CLC and PB colleagues against approved transaction. Track errors by assigning to responsible unit and report same via PBT MIS systems/reports. For errors requiring correction, communicate to the applicable unit and monitor the timely correction of same.
Loan Servicing: Support PB Sales teams and credit support officers on client servicing questions/issues including: Credit inquiries and investigations, Loan billing schedule maintenance, Special handling, Statement questions and maintenance, Past-due investigation and follow-up.
LIBOR Loan processing: Work with Private Bankers and Private client officers to ensure the timely rollover and execution of maturing LIBOR based loans minimizing delays in the rollover process.
Convert prime based loans to LIBOR as required while ensuring that no loans are renewed beyond the maturity of the applicable facility. Deliver rollover requests as necessary to CLC for execution and callback the completed loan changes.
STOC Monitoring: Monitor and prepare daily collateral reports for distribution to credit officers for correction and/or margin calls.
Monitor department mailbox for activity and distribute as required to credit officers. Work with CLC to determine accuracy of reporting and/or determine possible timing differences or CLC errors creating invalid entries into the reporting system: communicate same to credit staff.
Insurance Monitoring: Working closely with the insurance department, act as liaison to PB Bankers and Operations staff to ensure that insurance requirements are being met on a timely basis by communicating deficiencies, expirations and cancellations on a prompt basis. Escalate as necessary to sales team management and Credit Support administrators where lack of action may result in forced placement and client dissatisfaction.
Special Projects and Portfolio Review: Work with Credit teams to prepare packages for portfolio reviews in conformance with the standard delivery model. Participate in special projects and reporting as required.
Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to communicate effectively.
Able to handle a heavy volume of transactions and multiple tasks.
Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
Basic knowledge of AFS and Metavante critical
Ability to operate Personal Computers and WordPerfect/Word Programs.
Able to operate calculators, fax and copying machines.
