Summary

The Loan Servicing Operations Administrator position is a seasoned professional role within BCT's institutional Loans Operations organization. The candidate will work with the Loan Operations Manager to transform Loans operational functions through the implementation of new governance, controls, process optimizations. This position will also be a liaison for the loan servicing and post-closing department to be a back-up and to assist with streamlining processes.

Description

Reports To: SVP/Loan Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Responsibilities:

  • Perform backup to a variety of tasks in servicing loans including processing new loan boarding, payments, reserves, modifications, and services.

  • Perform various department functions as required and assigned by management.

  • Assist with the daily direction and workflow of loan servicing operations in each area of the department.

  • Cross train on all post-closing processes.

  • Effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal parties to resolve loan level issues.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Systems:

  • Assist/Act as liaison with JHA and IT to resolve loan related questions that arise with core processing system and offer support to other staff members when software related questions arise.

  • Execute quality control measures with respect to loan servicing.

Audit:

  • Take lead on departmental audits and audits finding resolutions.

  • Assist in the development and maintaining of department operational procedures and adhere to Bank policies and government regulations.

  • Reconcile loan general ledger/DDA accounts.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvement measures across the loan servicing department. This may in conjunction with other areas (IT, Deposit Ops, etc.)

Projects:

  • Assist and lead with departmental projects including new software implementations, product releases/updates, and cross functional projects.

  • Tracking and imaging all documentation for each project as well as noting of internal systems

Security

  • Maintains neat and orderly work area and ensures that all negotiables and confidential records are properly secured each day.

  • Understands role in case of disaster or robbery, whether victim or bystander, and knows proper post-robbery procedures.

  • Professional appearance that evokes the customer's trust.

  • Adheres to all bank policies and procedures and to internal controls and system access restrictions.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least 10 years of Loan Servicing experience, and 3 years of Commercial loan servicing experience. Courses offered by the American Institute of Banking (AIB), ICBA (Independent Community Banking Association) or similar are desirable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Position demands a person with a pleasant and professional personality, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, good organization skills, and excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.

  • Ability to understand and carry out oral or written instructions and to request clarification when needed.
