The Loan Servicing Director position is part of the Single-Family Operations, Investor Reporting team. The primary responsibility is monitor Servicer performance and compliance with terms of business. Monitor Servicer reporting, cash flow and credit risk mitigation. Works with managers and business partners on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. Including an understanding of current business trends. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Implements strategic polices and or procedures for obtaining optimal results.

Acts as an advisor to managers to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Analyze mortgage data to resolve errors, identify data trends, and present insightful recommendations using our latest technology to improve the customer's performance and manage Freddie Mac risk. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and or clients (Seller/Servicers). Requires the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations without impacting relationships.

Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories:

Team Management and Strategic Leadership

  • Establish and support team specific priorities that align to Investor Reporting (IR) and Freddie Mac priorities.

  • Support team and personal performance to further IR priorities. Foster a team culture valuing training and growth.

  • Acknowledge the contributions of others and apply appropriate recognition and rewards for individuals who go above and beyond.

Task Management

  • Apply the necessary tools, templates and fundamental skills required for the role.

  • Understand organizational priorities and support the execution of short- and long-term goals, applying time management best practices to manage workload and complete tasks on-time.

Problem Solving and IR Technical Knowledge

  • Approach tasks with a problem solving and analytical mindset.

  • Engage with team members, subject matter experts, and/or leadership, when necessary, to develop solutions. Identify problems and develops creative solutions for both internal and organizational and servicer challenges.

  • Demonstrate understanding and application of systems and tools required for completing tasks.

  • Understand how the business operates and proactively anticipates any impacts to the business and their portfolios.

  • Take ownership of work products from start to finish and engaging with subject matter experts and leadership when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area preferred.

  • 8-10 years related experience in Mortgage Banking.

  • Typically has 12+ years related experience and 4+ years of management experience

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

  • Influence and build partnerships effectively

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of current lending, servicing and mortgage operations processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex analysis and present findings to a wide audience

  • Experience in servicing GSE loans
