Requirements
Summary/Objectives
The Loan Processor is responsible for providing support to the Underwriter with individual loan files. This position will work on first and second mortgage loan files with the opportunity to learn the full spectrum of loan products available at Pathfinder Bank. The Loan Processor will calculate income in order to determine if a loan file is ready to be submitted to the Underwriter. This position will need to project a positive bank image in all customer contact. Loan Processor will ensure compliance with all consumer regulations related to the job function and adhere to regulatory changes, compliance issues, and bank policy and procedures.
Essential Functions
Review new loan files to ensure that application is complete prior to submitting for underwriting.
Prepare commitment letter within twenty-four hours after receipt of loan decision. .
Order the appraisal within twenty-four hours after receipt of a loan file and review when completed.
Monitor loan file for commitment conditions and review/signoff once received.
Manage and support the pipeline and provide status updates to the Loan Officers.
Calculation of income from documentation in file, review file during processing for accuracy and completion, and act as liaison for Loan Officers, realtors, borrowers and underwriter.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to think critically, problem solve and effectively manage time.
