Location:HeadquartersEssential Job Functions:35%:Underwrites and processes pre-approved mortgage loan applications, adhering to all mortgage lending regulations and secondary market guidelines
  • Works directly with mortgage loan originators, responding to emails and phone calls regarding approved applications
  • Orders and obtains verifications, titles, payoffs, and appraisals as needed
35%:Generates accurate consumer and residential loan closing documents in a timely manner, in accordance with TRID regulations15%:Pulls daily reports and ensures consumer disclosures are delivered within the required time frame set forth by current TRID regulations10%:Tracks and processes final collateral items5%:Updates rate tables in loan processing software, dailyPlease note this description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.   • Two (2) years of residential real estate loan experience, including selling on the secondary market.
  • One (1) year consumer loan processing experience, including collateral perfection.
  • Underwriting experience helpful.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.
Interpersonal SkillsWork involves communicating with immediate colleagues, other bank employees, customers, and vendors beyond the immediate department, primarily for purposes of giving or obtaining information. Work requires courtesy and professionalism in providing assistance and exchanging factual information.Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Proficiency with Laser Pro, MortgageBot LOS, and other relevant bank software systems
  • Ability to trouble shoot and resolve problems
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines

VIEW JOBS 10/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-20T00:00 Assist in the loan process by verifying information in all loan files, ordering documents needed to complete the files, updating information on the computer system and paying property taxes on escrows in accordance with the company's policy and procedures and compliance with pertinent regulatory requirements. * Location: The work location will be reviewed and may be assigned to any region.* Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm Major Duties and Responsibilities * Reviews incoming documents to ensure complete and accurate information and updates information on Loan Origination System. Requests and verifies accuracy of incoming data and coordinates any problems/discrepancies with borrowers and Mortgage Loan Originators. Assembles and analyzes borrower data for submission to loan underwriters. Updates Loan Origination System based on loan decision made by loan underwriter. Prepares commitment letters or adverse action letters as needed. * Orders credit reports, appraisals, private mortgage insurance, title commitments, 4506T verifications, and verbal employment verifications by faxing, uploading or calling applicable vendors. Prepares verification forms for income, deposits and rent for mail, fax or telephone as requested. * Interacts with customers to answer questions on interest rates, sets appointments with Mortgage Loan Originator, and promotes all services available at the Bank. * Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. * Use every customer contact as an opportunity to advise customers about additional services or programs that might benefit them. Knowledge & Skills Experience Has experience with different types of mortgage loans, escrow and ARM requirements. Education/Certifications/Licenses A high school degree or equivalent Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Other Skills Can type at 40 wpm. Physical Requirements Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, computer terminal and keyboard, facsimile, calculator, and understands computer basics. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private or shared work area with minimal noise. Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
