Summary: Responsible for onboarding and closing new loan applications, while complying with regulatory and bank standards, received through the Bank's various origination channels. The type of loans will primarily be home equity lines and loans, as well as consumer loans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Responsible for onboarding new loan files. Retrieves data files from front end origination system, enters loan data and completes set up in loan origination software.
Reviews new loan files for completeness, accuracy, and qualification
Responsible for effectively communicating with loan origination, underwriting staff and external stakeholders (vendors, attorneys, borrowers, etc.) as needed.
Responsible for preparation and delivery of all necessary disclosures to loan applicants
Orders all applicable documentation for files (including but not limited to appraisals, verifications, tax transcripts, etc.)
Prepares files for delivery to underwriting in accordance with set service standards.
Responsible for adhering to established procedures and making recommendations for updates on an ongoing basis.
Verifies all conditions are met and loans meet all regulatory guidelines prior to closing.
Responsible for scheduling closings on all consumer loans in a timely manner
Responsible for accurately preparing closing packages for consumer loans.
Responsible for reviewing closing packages post-closing for accuracy and completeness.
Responsible for accurate loan set up in Bank's core system post-closing.
Completes opening loan tickets and FASB trailers in a timely manner
Prepares permanent files for every consumer loan originated
Reviews HMDA for accuracy and makes changes as needed.
Completes all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, federal, and state regulations

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications, Licenses and/or registrations: This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration; and ability to obtain said license after a period to be determined by decisionmaker. Must be able to successfully complete the registration process, which includes, but is not limited to, undergoing a criminal background and credit check and must remain in compliance with the NMLS license regulations and rules.
