Job Summary

Under the direction of the Loan Operations Manager, the Loan Operations Specialist will perform a variety of functions to ensure the efficient operation of the area in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Detailed Description:

  • Review documentation required for funding a new loan or to process a loan renewal

  • Fund new loans and process renewals

  • Book new loans and renewals on the system

  • Setup exception ticklers related to new loans and renewals

  • File perfection documents such as UCC's, Deed of Trust and automobile title work

  • Setup real estate tax tracking through Accumatch

  • Perform loan documentation review of the completed loan documentation package after the originals are received from the branch

  • Perform internal and external customer service

  • Attention to regulatory requirements and compliance training applicable to position (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy ETC)

  • Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent; A minimum of five years' experience working in a Loan Department support role; Lending and/or loan Operations experience. Knowledge of loan documentation and loan funding is required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to follow directions in a timely and accurate manner

  • Experience working in Jack Henry Silverlake is a plus

  • Common sense and sound judgment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Time management and ability to prioritize

  • Strong sense of urgency

  • Pleasant telephone skills and courteous manner a must

Physical Demands

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment and physical demands are those of a standard retail branch setting. Responsibilities Job Summary Under the direction of the Loan Operations Manager, the Loan Operations Specialist will perform loan scanning of various loans and credit documents into the bank's core system and will ensure the efficient operation of the area in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures. Detailed Description: * Scan closed loans into the system * Scan documents into the system that are received post-closing as well as other types of documents. * Review documents after they are scanned to insure accuracy * Barcode closed loan and credit files * Build loan file and credit files for storage and coordinate archiving the files * File perfection documents into the collateral file * Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are essential. Qualifications Education and Experience * High school graduate or equivalent; A minimum of one year's experience working in a Loan Department scanning loan files and credit files or working with loan documentation. Loan Operations or equivalent experience is required.
