We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Bournefield office four days per week.

Responsibilities

The Loan Operations Specialist II is responsible for setting up all types of new loans, modifications, renewals, Letters of Credit, commitment extensions and Change in Terms into the bank's core system (IBS), timely and accurately. Perform variety of loan servicing activities such as, but not limited to, account maintenance, change of address, auto debit, payment adjustments, processing loan payments, mail out loan statements, and process General Ledger entries using PeopleSoft. Review reports and perform other duties as assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review incoming closed loans through the WorkFlow Queue to determine the type of transaction and identify the required documents needed to properly onboard each loan accurately the first time around into IBS.

  • Interpret and correctly prepare the Variable Rate spreadsheet to properly depict the correct variable rate plan and all the other components of the rate, payment date, interest change dates and payment schedules as defined in the promissory note.

  • Monitor and review tickler reports to ensure that proper changes to rates, billing, amortization, and other maintenances are processed in accordance with the promissory note and loan documents. Process ticklers that have been set as reminders to perform account maintenance to existing data entry or corrections to the Note or other loan documents.

  • Train and develop the skills to onboard Participated (purchased and sold) and Syndicated Loans pursuant to the Participation Agreements or Tri-Party Credit Agreements as applicable. Know when to use percentage of global loan amount or exact dollar amount of each participant to equal 100% of the global loan, understanding that each transaction is a standalone transaction.

  • Accurately create Customer, Loan Account, Note and Commitment records and assuring the records are tied to the correct relationships.

  • Accurately create guarantor records, BOC relationships and collateral to loan and customer records, assuring the records are tied to existing relationships, as applicable,

  • Process account maintenance, and email requests as assigned, which may require research and document review, in a timely and accurate manner pursuant to SLA requirements.

  • Monitor and respond to all email or phone requests to ensure completion of requests are completed within 24hrs of receipt.

  • Review daily reports (i.e., rejected items, auto debit/ACH, change of address, daily activity transactions, etc.,) as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Update daily completed task report and submit weekly.

  • Process loan payments and payoffs.

  • Assist the department with various administrative loan tasks such as processing pay-off letters, loan payments, posting incoming wire payments and monthly Lines of Credit. Issue refund/payoff overage checks as backup

  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GE

  • Five years of a combination of loan servicing, loan documentation or related job experience in the banking and financial industry.

  • Thorough knowledge of various type of loan documentation

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products, preferably proficient in MS Excel, and MS W

  • Familiar with General Ledger balancing and common banking transactions.

  • Knowledge of FIS/IBS bank core system or other similar banking system

PREFERRED:

  • Completion of specialized banking or finance courses.
