You will help power our daily loan operations and ensure the growth of our lending portfolio, ultimately enabling us to fulfill our mission of helping entrepreneurs thrive by giving them the capital and resources they need.

We are seeking a Loan Operations Analyst to help drive CircleUp Credit's lending product. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment with the creativity and resiliency to deliver results and solve ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate will be excited at the prospect of being part of a growing team focused on using data-driven technology to help entrepreneurs thrive.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Reconcile daily loan payments with a keen attention to detail

  • Onboard new borrowers onto our servicing platform to ensure proper allocation of payments to fees, interest, and principal

  • Respond to inquiries from existing borrowers in a knowledgeable and timely manner

  • Work collaboratively with our Business Development and Underwriting teams to help retain and upsell existing borrowers

  • Stay nimble and roll with the inevitable hiccups that come with new product development

  • Prepare periodic reports for multiple parties with the ability to work fluently with large datasets

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Excel

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in an operational role

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and customer service skills

  • Highly proactive with the ability to work both independently and as part of the team

  • Clear communicator with ability to empathize with customers

  • Exceptional integrity, high intelligence, and strong work ethic

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with small business lending and loan operations

  • Familiarity with and passion for companies in the CPG space

VIEW JOBS 3/23/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-21T00:00 Overview A Credit Administration Analyst--Validations is responsible for reviewing new commercial loans, renewals and modifications to ensure that various key aspects of the approval conform with both the loan documents and loan accounting system (ASF Level 3). Discrepancies and missing or defective documentation requiring resolution are raised, as applicable, with Executive Loan Committee, Loan Servicing, Relationship Managers and Business Bankers ("bankers"), and corresponding comments entered into the tracking log. Covenants and applicable due date ticklers are confirmed on the tracking system (AFS Exceptions) Key requirements of the position include developing a strong knowledge of loan documents, covenant monitoring practices, excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, plus the ability to effectively manage time and changing priorities. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * New commercial loans, renewals and modifications are reviewed to confirm the key aspects of approval conform with the loan documents and AFS Level 3, including: * Correct loan risk grade * Appropriate approvals were obtained * Covenants entered into tracking system to match documents * Observations noted of any discrepancies or issues * Annual term loan review ticklers set up if applicable * Policy exceptions are entered onto AFS Exceptions * Identify any key documentation that is missing or defective * Apprise senior management of substantive non-compliance issues and adverse trends. * Perform other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by manager. * Identify areas for increased efficiencies in processes and higher quality internal service, and make recommendations accordingly. * Adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.). * Adhering to Bank policies and procedures. * Completing required training. * Identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer. * Knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.
