Job Title: Loan Operations Account Reconciliation Manager
Reports To: Loan Operations Process Manager
Direct Reports: Loan Servicing Specialists (I, II, III), Loan Servicing Specialist II - Recon & Balancing
Salary Grade: 9
SUMMARY
The Account Reconciliation Manager will oversee the completion and accuracy of all general ledger and account related functions for Loan Operations and will also confirm operational compliance with related regulatory requirements. Assist Director of Loan Operations and other Loan Operations Managers with developing strategies and tactics to meet department goals. Resolution of accounting related issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent education in a related field
7 years of account reconciliation experience, preferably in the financial services industry
Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of other regulatory requirements
Minimum of 3 years in a team lead or supervisory role
JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for all accounting functions related to transactions through Prologue, Blackline, LAS Core System and General Ledger, AFS, and any new software
Perform all general ledger and account reconciliations as needed; prepare/review journal entries related to Loan Operations
Resolve issues that arise by collaborating with stakeholders in a timely manner
Act as point of contact for all general ledger related questions
Ensure accounting related procedures are followed, compliance with all federal, state, and local financial legal requirements, and that timelines are met
Responsible for accounting duties related to mergers and acquisitions
Assist Director of Loan Operations with monitoring all financial reports
Analyzing current accounting manager functions and procedures within Loan Operations to suggest changes and improvements
Provide world-class service to internal and external clients with a sense of urgency and positive attitude
Coordinate with Loan Operations Training Manager to keep internal accounting procedures and guidance updated
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to business partner inquiries and requests in a timely manner with a sense of urgency and positive attitude; including supporting internal and external audits
Participate in all required compliance training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, or other education events assigned by Loan Ops and Bank Leadership
Adhere to Corporate and Loan Operations policies and procedures as prescribed
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required
Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities to meet multiple deadlines
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills without direct guidance; ability to assist others with problem solving
Intermediate level knowledge of federal and state banking regulations
Exhibits strong initiative and assumes a sense of ownership over all loan operations accounting-related matters
Exemplify behaviors in alignment with the bank's vision, mission, and culture; exhibit professionalism at all times
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively communicate with peers, senior leadership, auditors, and compliance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does manage employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
TRAVEL
This position requires minimal travel.
