SUMMARY
Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and complies with all State and Federal banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, Customers Right to Privacy Act, Regulation D, Regulation DD/Truth in savings, USA Patriot Act, CIP, Elder Care, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and Privacy requirements as they pertain to this position. This position is responsible for escalating suspicious activity to the BSA.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position requires working knowledge of all lending.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports credit lending decisions by analyzing commercial loan requests, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of commercial loans. Responsible for creation of financial spreadsheets and assessing borrower's cash flow utilizing personal and business tax returns
- Calls on larger loan and deposit customers for retention and increases and solicit large new depositors and Commercial Loan Prospects
- Meets and exceeds sales and portfolio quality goals
- Prepares call reports or other necessary reports on a monthly basis
- Participates in monthly loan meetings
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with industry groups and organizations to stay informed of changes in federal and state banking regulations and industry trends; ensure the company adjusts accordingly
- Solicits new business and participates in community or other service programs to develop goodwill
- Communicates and works effectively with the back end of operations, i.e. the Note Department, to complete the booking process of loans and perform any additional requests from the borrower (loan disbursements, set up automatic payments, etc.)
- Possesses advance knowledge of personal and business financial statements and tax returns in order to assess a company or borrower's financial standing. This includes applying according to finance principals to further analyze and draw conclusions on their ability to cover loan payments
- Responsible for managing accounts for new and existing clients including delinquent status loans, effectively managing the loan process from origination through booking
- Other duties may be assigned
- Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires overall qualification to successfully handle the duties described above.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree from accredited 4-year University
- Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience

Annual pay ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on your skills and experience.
