Role Overview Society Mortgage is seeking a dedicated and motivated Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. This role is designed as a training position, with the goal of transitioning the successful candidate into a licensed Loan Officer within 2-3 months.

As an LOA, you will screen leads, develop a deep understanding of our clientele, and gain valuable experience on the phone. This position offers a unique pathway to growth in the mortgage industry. Training Path The LOA will begin by screening leads and learning how to communicate effectively with clients.

This initial stage focuses on understanding the needs of our borrowers and familiarizing yourself with loan products. After this period, the LOA will take the SAFE exam to become licensed with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System), with full support from the company. Once licensed, the LOA will transition into the role of Loan Officer, where they will begin handling clients independently and earn salary commission.

Key Responsibilities Screen and qualify leads to assess borrower eligibility Communicate with potential clients via phone and email to gather information and answer questions Learn and understand mortgage products, loan guidelines, and client needs Prepare for the SAFE exam to become a licensed Loan Officer Transition into the Loan Officer role, with full support from senior team members Compensation Salary-only compensation during the training period (approximately 2-3 months) Salary commission once the Loan Officer role is assumed after licensing Competitive compensation structure with ample opportunities for growth Qualifications No prior mortgage experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry is essential Excellent communication skills, especially on the phone Highly organized and detail-oriented Motivated to complete the SAFE exam and become a licensed Loan Officer Ability to work onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL Why Society Mortgage?
