Primarily responsible for administrative and sales support to one or more Sr. Loan Officers whose primary responsibility is to originate first mortgages for Investors Home Mortgage.


  • Mortgage Loan Compliance & Guidelines

  • Understands lending laws and regulations and IHM's lending policies and guidelines.

  • Examples include, but not limited to: Understanding and complying with all lending laws and regulations such as TRID, ECOA, TILA, FCRA, HMDA, BSA/AML, etc.;

  • Completing all responsibilities within lending guidelines; and Communicating with customers about lending regulations and guidelines.

  • Mortgage Loan Officer Pipeline Management

  • Under the direction of the Loan Officer, reviews, maintains and works the Loan Officer Pipeline.

  • Examples include, but not limited to: Reviewing the pipeline for inaccurate information; Updating the pipeline as needed; and Working the pipeline to identify tasks to be completed on the application

  • Assisting with the Mortgage Loan Life Cycle

  • Continues to stay on top of applications through the loan life cycle, assisting both the customer and the IHM team as needed.

  • Examples include, but not limited to: Ordering appraisals; Locking a loan; Completing a Change of Circumstance; and Assisting with gathering information necessary for disclosures, processing and closing as needed.

  • Demonstrating Exceptional Customers Service Skills

  • Goes the extra mile to ensure that the Company's customers are comfortable, knowledgeable and being given the best products and services to match and meet their needs.

  • Examples include, but not limited to: Proactively solicit information from customers about their personal financial and banking needs; Reach out to customers even when there is not an upcoming sale; Follow up on customer communication

  • Building a Strong Network through Relationship Management

  • Effectively builds ongoing relationships with multiple contacts including, customers, employees, peers and superiors to create a professional network through proactive communication

  • Examples include, but not limited to: Proactively meeting people who could bring meaning or value to his/her network; Leveraging existing contacts to meet new contacts; and Maximizing relationships in his/her network.

RESPONSIBILITIES: * Proactively solicit new residential mortgage business * Maintain a quality network of business relationships that serve as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities * Conduct financial interviews with prospective borrowers in order to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise clients of product/pricing policies and guidelines * Take loan application and accurately gather required information from clients in order to deliver thorough and fully documented loan applications to processing on a timely basis * Participate in business related development opportunities, community efforts to promote home ownership and professional organizations * Maintain a positive sales environment by educating potential buyers and referral sources as to the products and services offered by the company * Cross sell other bank products and services as applicable * Respond to customer inquiries and referrals at all stages of the overall process to ensure the borrower is a lifelong customer * Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements * Achieve production goals, as established by the company * Attend and complete all required training * Maintain an accurate log of all sales activities and customer meetings * Acts as a mentor to less experienced Loan Officers and/or Loan Officer Assistants * Perform other duties as assigned Investors Bancorp, Inc.
