Recognizes and understands a wide variety of documents, forms and paperwork and accurately and efficiently scans items into imaging and workflow systems.


  • Understands proper naming conventions

  • Monitors images for consistency and ensures they are clearly viewable

  • Researches historical and current policy information using multiple systems and bank software programs

  • Correctly identifies document types

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal business units and co-workers

  • Fulfills on demand requests

  • Researches and responds to questions for historical and current policy information

  • Reviews system outputs and makes daily corrections to master records

  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 1+ year's lending, banking, customer service or loan operations experience required

  • Excellent customer service skills with a desire to assist customers

To learn more, visit Job Description The Loan Specialist is responsible for managing and administering a portfolio of Commercial loans from origination through to settlement and funding in accordance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Requirements * May manage a loan pipeline from origination through to settlement and funding in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. * Provides documentation and Bank policy and procedure guidance to all lending areas. * Orders various loan documentation and searches, as necessary. * Updates Exception report weekly. * Verifies all quality control procedures are maintained and monitored. * Majority of loans handled are standard, non-complex in nature. * Ensures all loans are closed without material, administrative or compliance exceptions. * Ensures that all required loan conditions (insurance, collateral, etc.) are sufficient and properly documented and in compliance with bank policy. * Confirms TD changes are consistent with system requirements. * May evaluate best course of action taking into account bank policy, regulatory requirements, impact to the customer, and impact to the bank as well as cost factors. * Takes appropriate actions to ensure loans are booked and properly set-up if necessary. * May order and maintain loan documentation from beginning to finish ensuring adherence with compliance with bank policy procedures regulatory requirements and lending conditions. * May establish relationships with commercial operations, relationship management team, credit offers and others as needed. * May act as liaison with bank counsel, compliance, asset based lending, leasing, government banking, derivatives, construction loan administration, brokers, international department, and various other parties to the loan as needed. * Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position Qualifications * 4 year degree or equivalent experience * 1-3 years related experience required * Thorough knowledge of Bank policies and procedures. * Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, title policies, appraisals, environmental assessments and entity formation documents. * Detail oriented, self-motivated. * Excellent communications, planning, Customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with Customers attorneys and Bank personnel. * PC proficiency. * Paralegal experience/knowledge preferred.
