Reports to the Loading Supervisor.

What you will do:

  • Actively engage in personal and co-worker health and safety to ensure we all go home safe, every day

  • Safe operation of ammonia loading systems (ammonia pumps, valves, terminal boss)

  • Safe operations of urea loading systems (DCS, conveyor systems, troubleshooting instrumentation)

  • Operate mobile equipment; forklift, front end loader and track mobile

  • Maintain housekeeping which requires moving dry urea product by shovel and wheel barrel

  • Maintain safe and efficient operations of loading areas, recording data, loading stored products onto either rail cars or trucks

  • Conduct weekly safety job task observation and participation in Nutrien safety culture

  • Move railcars and maintaining current rail inventory and infrastructure

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Follow and adhere to all safety policies and procedures

  • One to three years of experience in a warehouse environment (chemical manufacturing experience in the operational field preferred)

  • Demonstrate safety leadership and coaching abilities

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work with little supervision and must be a self-starter

  • Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklift, front end loader, etc.)

  • Willingness to work extended hours, overtime and Holidays

  • Experience with computer applications including DCS and SAP

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to operate automated loadout system (preferred)

What you will do: * Maintain mechanical equipment including steam turbines, gear boxes, blowers, compressors, and various types of pumps * Ensure safe and efficient work practices, including following and adhering to all safety policies and procedures * Perform daily maintenance and overhauls on all rotating equipment, as required * Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance on rotating equipment, as needed * Perform millwright work including major overhauls of rotating equipment * Document repairs and reliability information on equipment * Follow written procedures and completing detailed checklists * Work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal departments to develop preventative maintenance standards on equipment * Attend and complete required training, internally and externally specific to job skills * Play a critical role not only in ensuring your own safety but the safety of others * Direct accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset What you will bring: * Proficient in pump alignment to meet industry standards * Knowledge of various types of mechanical seals, different types of bearings and bearing arrangements * Ability to use dial calipers, dial indicators, OD & ID micrometers, etc. * Working knowledge of computer systems and data management systems including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to work in excess of standard schedule including call-outs and holidays * Have and maintain a valid driver's license, able to operate various types of equipment and/or earn certification * Ability to work in a team environment, maintaining motivation and willing to accept ownership and accountability * Possess troubleshooting and analytical ability Are you a good match?
