Position: Loading Supervisor

Position Overview:

Support Club Car Logistics Leader with managing and executing golf car shipments from the Club Car Factory, creating and managing the AOP, and reporting performance to AOP on a monthly basis. Executes various projects, including implementing and ensuring standard work is in place and followed by the Loading and Logistics teams, collecting and analyzing data, and using analysis to influence good business practices and ensure the "best value" for both Club Car and our customers. Support updating of productivity and inflation tracking tools to ensure accurate reporting of financial metrics. Participate in continuous improvement and rapid improvement events, provide support including documentation, analysis, and follow-up activities. Support project management activities including managing project meetings and updating project status.

Responsibilities:

  • Support of end-to-end transportation-related requirements for Club Car completes

  • Examples include, but not limited to, monitoring load configurations, tenders to carriers, P&L management of shipments

  • Manage Loading activities and related efficiency trends, DSI's and operational improvements

  • Identify and recommend logistics efficiencies for Domestic transportation to include: carrier scorecards, quality reviews, cost trends, etc.

  • Assess opportunity for distribution footprint rationalization to improve customer delivery, lead time reductions, transportation / labor savings, operating leverage, etc.

  • Reporting and analysis of logistics data

  • Back up other Logistics areas as required

  • Initiate, develop, and implement innovative and aggressive approaches to transportation process, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements

  • Provide analyst support for the following business objectives:

  • long range planning

  • annual operating planning

  • monthly performance reporting and analysis

  • productivity reporting

  • inflation reporting

  • dealer and/or customer-related transportation improvements

  • other projects, as required

  • Research and analyze market trends in the transportation industry

  • Support business development and help create efficient designs and solutions

  • Other duties, as directed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D, Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 2+ years' experience in Supply Chain or Transportation experience preferred

  • Strong Analytic experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications with emphasis on Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

  • Proficiency with transporter-facing portals

  • Experience with large complex cross functional projects

  • Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions from customers, vendors, and other team members

  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members

  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction

  • Ability to work within the appropriate level of independence
