We have an opening for a LNG Terminal Operator to work in the Freeport, TX area.

Essential Functions & Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for outside operations at the dock and ship unloading
Ensures ships' Declarations of Inspection, regulatory required paperwork, onboard equipment, etc. are in place
Ensures status of ship and its documentation are ready to load/unload
Person-In-Charge of transfer operations for the receiving terminal
Monitors transfer parameters during LNG transfer pursuant to CFR 33.127 requirements
Manages the transfer operations for the receiving terminal
Coordinates ship unloading with ships' personnel and terminal control room, and monitor unloading progress
Makes scheduled rounds to visually inspect marine (dock) equipment
Obtains hydrocarbon and water samples as required
Monitors all Marine (dock) equipment and correct or report problems
Complies with all facility safety, environmental, and health requirements
Learns duties of Control Room Operator and Regas Operator
Provides relief for Regas Operator as required
Makes scheduled rounds and assists Regas Operator in Terminal when a ship is not at Dock.
Responsible for housekeeping in Terminal and Dock areas
Supervises and cross trains new or less experienced employees.
Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by facility supervision
Cross trains with Outside Regas Operator and Control Room Operator
HIgh School Degree or GED equivelant required; Associates Degree preferred.
1-3 years experience in Operations of LNG, NGL or Chemical Plant using DCS system
Must be experienced in the use of PC equipment and software including SAP, Windows and MS Office products
Must have good mechanical background
Basic First Aid, Permit to work, Incident reporting, Accident Investigation, Confined Space Entry, Breathing Apparatus, Authorized Gas Tester, Emergency Response Plan, Energy Isolation (Lockout/Tagout), MSDS, USCG Regulations, Operation of centrifugal pumps, cooling fans, heat exchangers, compressors, etc.
Operation of ship unloading dock equipment, Strong Planning skills, experience in reading and understanding P&ID & PFD drawings, leadership/delegation skills, effective communications, strong PC skills, MS
Good written/verbal technical communication skills
Good analytical problem solving skills, including root cause failure analysis
Ability to provide clear work instruction to others
Ability to receive and follow work instruction from supervisors
Active learner, Self-starter/motivated
Trouble shooting/analytical skills with the ability to logically work through process problems and upsets
Ability to develop and follow operating procedures
Good mechanical background
Trained in Emergency Response
Ability to read and understand P&ID and PFD drawings
Ability to liaise with ship crews
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
