Summary

The LNG Production Plant General Manager is responsible for all facets of the Production Plants at Clean Energy. This includes setting the overall direction and strategic initiatives for the LNG and/or RNG plants, including production, maintenance, capital expenditures, logistics and financial responsibility. LNG Plant General Manager will establish strong process discipline, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and agencies, and foster a safety culture at the production facilities.

Company Mission

Clean Energy pioneered renewable natural gas (RNG) as a vehicle fuel in the U.S. and we continue to be the largest provider of RNG for transportation. We have an extensive network of nearly 600 fueling stations across North America, and can deliver RNG to any station, public or private. Renewable fuel and station infrastructure sales and financing is the focus of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Responsible for directing, managing, and optimizing the overall operations and financial performance (P&L) of multiple plants. This involves setting policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Performance Metrics: Systematically collect operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets aligned with revenue and cost goals. Prepare and present regular operational and financial reports.

Continuous Improvement: Support the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Analyze and enhance process manufacturing to meet demands and changes in economic or compliance conditions.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure robust plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures are implemented to meet OSHA, PHMSA and other required regulations.

Cross-Functional Management: Oversee multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources.

Apply labor laws in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Hire, coach and mentor staff to operate production facilities successfully - achieving financial and operational results.

Business Acumen: Familiarity with business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.).

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical ability to evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.

Problem-Solving Aptitude: Ability to address issues such as profit decline, employee conflicts, and competition.

Education and/or Experience

Engineering, Finance or equivalent bachelor's degree preferred. Proven work experience as a General Manager or in a similar executive role.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. An ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Advanced knowledge of POS and/or PLC systems strongly preferred. SCADA experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to utilize OEM software applications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

OEM certifications for compressors and dispensers preferred.
