Are you interested in a career as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)? # RRMC is offering an LNA Training Program, starting May 6, 2024! Participants in the program will be hired into current open LNA positions at Rutland Regional Medical Center. This 5-week paid program will provide first-hand experience and training to become a Licensed Nurse Assistant at RRMC.# Following successful completion of the program and licensure, participants will move into a pre-designated LNA opening at RRMC. Program details: Full-time commitment from May 6 through May 31 The program will run for 3.5 - 5 weeks (testing time dependent) 90 hours class/lab time 20 hours on unit clinical Classes and labs will be held in the Simulation Classroom Includes clinical rotation The LNA Training program schedule will be 6-hour days with the option for students to remain on-site for up to two additional study hours per day, Monday # Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm# Test preparation and onsite exam included LNA tasks may include, but are not limited to: Obtaining and recording patient vital signs Temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, intake, and output Personal hygiene Documenting in the electronic medical record (Cerner EMR) Assisting with activities of daily living Mobilizing patients using safe patient handling equipment Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Successful completion of The LNA Training Program. Minimum Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required. Minimum Work Experience: Previous hospital or nursing home experience, preferred. Previous secretarial or administrative experience preferred. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Ability to report patient care observations, deviations from patient#s plan of care and other pertinent information under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Ability to move or lift patients and equipment. Demonstrated moderate knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills. Pay Range = $18.16 - $26.97 Competitive Shift Differential =#$4.25 - 2nd shift,#$8.00 - 3rd shift,#$4.75#- Weekend
