Job Summary
Maintenance Technician - Electrical. Candidate will work in a refinery environment maintaining all types of electrical equipment which includes motors, heat trace, substations, lighting, conduit, wiring, and other specialty types of electrical equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Basic Maintenance Skills
Must understand electrical fundamentals
Must understand electrical test equipment including digital multimeter and ammeters
Must understand basic shop equipment
Must be able to work in a refinery environment
Must be able to work outdoors, climb, and wear SCBA
Must be willing to work 8-hour shift schedule in a 24-hour operaration
Must be able to work weekend, holidays, and overtime as required
Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Valid Driver's License
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility
Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. All candidates must be eligible to receive a TWIC in order to be considered for an offer.

Preferred Qualifications Include:
Electrical experience in the Chemical/Petroleum industry
College degree or certificate in electrical or related coursework
Experience with heat trace, motor control schematics, power distribution equipment, and motors
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace 2021 Edition
Experience with the NFPA 70 National Electric Code 2023 Edition
Job Duties
Install, and troubleshoot/repair electrical equipment for routine and non-routine maintenance. Preventative maintenance and frequent inspections on electrical equipment. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for inspection, testing, and repair. Participation in LOTO activities. Willingness to work various shifts and overtime, as needed.
