This announcement is for two (2) part-time (.60 FTE) vacancies; rotating schedule with alternating shifts and Saturdays as needed.
This position is part of the Agricultural Marketing and Development Division, Livestock Development Unit. The position is located in Worthington, MN at the JBS Swift Plant. Under general supervision, the position provides accurate and impartial weights of livestock through the issuance of Official Certification of State Weight as well as detects and prevents irregularities of the weighing equipment.
Basic math skills.
Ability to write legible and accurate reports.
Ability to transfer numbers from one form to another.
Ability to effectively deal with the public and the employees of the packing companies.
English skills sufficient to perform the job duties described above, using reading, writing and speaking skills.
Ability to hear oral instructions in a noisy environment.
NOTE: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications listed above will be required to pass a written exam (basic math and name and number matching comparison) prior to the interviewing.
Experience working with livestock.
