Integrated Life Choices is seeking Live-In Direct Support Professional (DSP) in the Conroe, Texas area to assist in delivering the best care to 3 people with developmental disabilities, and to help them live independently through every aspect of their daily lives. This job is perfect for a person who is looking to make a difference and supporting others to live a fulfilling life. The DSP will have the opportunity to earn up to $40,000.00 annually. The DSP will have a private, master bedroom and bathroom with utilities and local telephone paid by ILC.

  • Understanding of responsibility for the safety of the people supported, their teammates, and themselves

  • Drive to encourage people who are working towards goals, understanding that achieving those goals comes in a series of ups and downs, wins and losses, three steps forward and one step back

  • An understanding of the importance of consistency for the people ILC supports

The schedule includes:

Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM-8:00 AM

Saturday & Sunday from 6:00 AM-Midnight (Clock out during sleep hours)

Employee will have 2 weekends off per month (1 weekend per pay period)

Whether the activities are group-based or individual-focused, DSPs ensure that the people ILC supports are working towards achieving their hopes and dreams while interacting with members of their local community. These DSPs work as a team to bring ideas to the table and create opportunities for volunteering, exploring local activities, and teaching skills that bring value and fulfillment. This role gives you the chance to create a positive environment with the person(s) supported that involve activities in the home and out in the community during the evenings and weekends. Activities might include planning meals and grocery shopping, completing daily household chores, and other activities that a person supported may choose to do at home. Community activities span from routine responsibilities like appointments to fun things like fishing. The duties of the overnight shifts depend on the needs of the home.
