Deliver birds to the plant in a timely manner.
Review the catch sheet posted in shop. Perform pre-trip inspection of tractor before starting engine (DO NOT OPERATE IF EQUIPMENT IS DEFECTIVE). Drive down to plant and back trailer under a live haul trailer; hook up air and electrical lines.
Release brakes and pull trailer around to scales. Stop and wait for green light before pulling onto scale, pull onto scale and drop trailer. Pull tractor off scales and wait for the scale operator to give signal to connect the trailer to the tractor, back under the trailer and roll-up gears.
Take trailer to farms and complete a trip sheet on each load. Place empty trailer in front of fans. Unbind trailers and place binding hooks out of the way of forklift operator.
Wait until the loading process is complete before binding down the cages. Pull tractor and trailer forward as needed for loading to keep air flowing through the birds that are in cages. After load is complete, retrieve the load ticket from grower and bring back to plant.
When returning to plant, pull around to scale and wait for scale operator to give the green light before pulling onto scales. Drop full trailer on the scale and place load ticket in mailbox. Pull down the trailer yard and hook up to another empty trailer and repeat steps until all birds have been removed from the houses that you were assigned to for the day.
At end of workday, bring empty trailer to yard and park. Do a post-trip inspection on tractor and record any defects that are found. Bring pre & post trip inspection forms to shop and place under trailer number.
