Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with a minimum eight (8) years of experience for the New York Office.
Primary Responsibilities
Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery;
Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials;
Processing settlements for complex litigation matters;
Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file;
Summarizing depositions and other transcripts;
State and Federal Court filings including NYSCEF and various administrative agencies;
Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);
Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial;
Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria; and
Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation.
Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.
Skills & Abilities
Advanced working knowledge of Relativity, Excel, Case Notebook and related case management software is required.
Working knowledge of New York Rules of Civil Procedure For Courts of Record in New York.
Experience working directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation.
Qualifications
BA or BS degree preferred.
Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with eight years of comparable work experience required.
Ability to work well with clients and experts required.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and written communication skills.
Demonstrate high level of professionalism.
