LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting the Washington, DC office of a sophisticated midsized firm in its search for a Litigation Associate to join its Bankruptcy / Creditors’ Rights practice group. This is a great opportunity for a qualified litigator seeking to transition from BigLaw to a firm with work-life balance, very competitive compensation for the market, and a great culture as part of a close-knit practice group in Washington, DC The firm's practice group is regularly retained in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases to analyze and resolve high-profile, complex, and cutting-edge disputes.
The practice encompasses the full range of issues potentially affecting creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Qualified candidates will have 1-4 years of litigation experience, preferably with prior law firm or clerkship experience. Candidates should be part of the JD graduating classes of 2020-2023.
Bankruptcy experience is not required, however candidates with exposure to bankruptcy and / or creditors’ rights litigation may receive additional consideration. The firm offers competitive market salaries (starting at $225k for first year litigation associates), generous signing or clerkship bonuses, relocation stipend (if applicable), work-life balance (1750 billable hours targeted annually), and an excellent benefits package to include 100% firm-paid healthcare premiums for employees, employer-contributions to 401k, and up to 18 weeks of parental leave.
