LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY HOUSTON TX

A commercial litigation firm with a nationwide practice, is seeking candidates for associate attorney positions in its Houston office.

The founding Houston office focuses on complex business litigation in the energy, financial services, and first-party insurance sectors.

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A current license to practice law in Texas, Florida or California;
  • Excellent academic credentials;
  • 2 to 8 years of litigation experience;
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills;
  • The ability to multitask and think proactively;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a team-player mentality;
  • A desire to have contact with clients and build his or her own practice; and
  • Fearlessness and a sense of humor.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, salary is flexible depending on the candidate

Primary Responsibilities: * Greet patients * Coordinate patient flow * Assist patients with intake or admitting processes * Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles The pace is fast, so your ability to multi-task is essential. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma / GED * 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry * 1+ years of experience in a medical office setting * Ability to read and interpret office forms and insurance cards and understand referrals * This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease. * Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained * You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role Preferred Qualifications: * Medical Assistant background * ICD 9 or 10 and CPT coding experience * Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience * Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English Transforming healthcare and millions of lives starts with the values you embrace and the passion you bring.
