Literacy Intervention Teacher/Eld Specialist

Final salary for 2024-2025 will be subject to negotiations settlement.

• $2,000 Stipends for MA, PhD and National Board Certification+ Comprehensive health and welfare benefit package.
  The Literacy Intervention Teacher and ELD Specialist, under the direction of the Director of Educational Services, will work with classroom teachers to assess student reading abilities and develop plans to support students who need literacy intervention. The Literacy Intervention Teacher and ELD Specialist will work with the MTSS (Multi-tiered System of Support) team, coordinate services for targeted literacy intervention, and coordinate and deliver English language development (ELD) services to the District's English Learner students. They will also provide mentor support and instruction to teachers and instructional assistants in the area of reading acquisition and English language development. The Literacy Intervention Teacher and ELD Specialist will work with parents to develop reading intervention plans to complement the school plan for students who are in need of reading and language arts support at home.
