Responsibilities

Job Description:

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment. Understanding of Linux Server (RHEL) internals, and knowledge of Windows fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Working as a team member in a fast paced technological environment. Help develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Understanding of Virtual Machine (VM) technologies and methods (VMWare). Perform OS server tuning to maximize system performance on both physical and virtual systems. Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Work across IT functions to standardize processes and procedures. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures. There are 2 positions available.

Required Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires that an applicant be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance.

  • In-depth working experience in Windows and Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening

  • Solid experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods

  • 2 years' experience maintaining a medium sized Server environment

  • Knowledge of data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

  • Familiar with TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operations

  • Knowledge and experience using Information Technology project lifecycle

  • Developed solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems

  • Have led special projects and managed resources

  • Have trained others in standard IT processes and procedures

  • Able to independently and safely lift 15 pounds

  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours

Desired Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods
  • 2 years' experience maintaining a medium sized Server environment

System administration experience in a Linux environment is preferred

  • Patch management experience using Windows WSUS, SCCM, or other tool

  • Basic knowledge Redhat Enterprise Linux

  • Experience with license managers in a Windows or Linux environment

Active US DoD Secret clearance is preferred.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

The Integration & Verification (I&V) Center within the Systems Test Directorate is seeking candidates for the position of Systems Engineer to perform the role of Systems Integrator Engineer for development and production programs. The selected candidate will lead and support test planning, integration, testing, and analysis. Candidate should have experience in Hardware Integration of missile systems for product integration and field qualification and requirement verification. These include Test Readiness Reviews (TRR's) and other events, which ensure the integrity of the design, integration, verification and test processes. The candidate is responsible for integration and test execution, which result in successful completion of test events at all levels of system integration including lab, system verification and qualification and associated analysis of test data. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Job Description: The position is located in Tucson Arizona with responsibilities for integration, verification and field qualification test activities including the following: The candidate may perform test and integration, including review and analysis data elements to provide detailed reports of results. Should test failures occur, perform root cause and corrective action analysis as required. Accountable for pedigree control and completeness of all documentation and may include the creation and presentation of Consent to Ship (CTS) and Test Readiness Review (TRR) Packages. Able to support field testing and occasional travel for durations typically one to two week durations. Support leadership with providing proposal support including of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for integration and field Qualification test support requests from customers.
