Linux System Administrator, Lead Associate

Responsibilities

Seeking a Systems Administrator to support an IC mission in the Columbia, MD area.

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems

• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems

• Provide support to IT systems including Day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems

• Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolutions of problems

• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process

• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customers.

• Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis.

• Demonstrated design, plan, installation, configuration, and sustainment of Red Hat Linux (RHEL).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

• Five (5) years' experience as a Linux SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.

• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required.

• CCNA-Security OR CySA+ OR GICSP OR GSEC OR Security+ CE OR CND OR SSCP

• Experience with VMWare, exposure to AWS.

• Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
